Show Expenses
We've covered the structure of the deals and laid it all out on a spreadsheet. NOW we get to dig into each line item of the show expenses. As a tour accountant, one of Jen's favorite people to settle shows with is Sean O'Connell, VP of Operations for Live Nation Colorado. Sean will join Jen in walking through each item category and discuss how to budget, how to calculate and how to verify each expense.

Sean O’Connell - VP of Operations for Live Nation Colorado
Sean is originally from Chicago where he began his career in Ticket Operations in large venues including Comiskey Park, The Chicago Stadium and United Center, and the Auditorium Theater.
After a few years concentrating mainly on sporting events after moving to Colorado, O’Connell changed his professional focus to his true passion in the music industry, first with House of Blues Concerts and for the last 14 years with Live Nation. While working with Live Nation, Sean’s role expanded from Ticket Director to General Manager of Colorado facilities Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre and the Fillmore Auditorium, to his current position as VP of Operations for Colorado. Sean oversees business operations, sales, production and event settlements for the market including Live Nation’s 40+ annual shows at Red Rocks, over 50 Arena events and over 100 stadium, theater and festival shows annually (when not quarantined).
